MARSYANDHI RIVER RAFTING
3 DAYS
The Marsyangdi River is one of the most
outstanding grade IV Kayaking Rivers in
the world. Continuous, exhilarating
white-water with magnificent mountain
backdrops and drains the northern slope
of the Annapurna Himal. It flows east
through an arid valley around Manang and
then swings south to join the Trisuli
River at Mugling. Marsyangdi means
‘raging river’ in local dialect. It was
opened to commercial rafting in 1996 and
demands 100% Commitment from both crew
and guide. It is totally different from
the big volume rivers like Sun Kosi and
Karnali, the rapids are technical and
require a very different approach. Need
100% power and a good line, fast
reactions from crew to get through this
pinball machine and quickly forges raft
crews of complete strangers into true
teams.

the Seti Khola. We spend all the time
within its forested canyon. The reach
vegetation we see is a remnant of the
vast forested area, which once covered
the middle hills of Nepal even now, we
are objects of curiosity to the
villagers. Traveling by rafts is a
perfect way to view undisturbed wildlife
and bird watching. When we stop for
lunch we have time to explore,
photographing, Swimming or relaxing.
Later in afternoon we encounter a small
but technical rapid of Sarangghat. The
Sarangghat village is a colorful middle
hills village of Gurungs and Magars, who
are renowned for generations of service
with the British and Indian Gurkha
forces. Camp will set up bellow the
village on the left bank of Seti River?
Day 02:
Sarangghat – Ghumaune:
Same as your Trekking camping trips, you
will be wake up with a cup of tea and
soon you rise up breakfast will be

hiking up to the Dharampani village, a
vantage Mountain View point of
Sanbhanjyang, at an altitude of 1000
meters above the sea level, from where
you can see almost the massif of
Annapurna. Back & forth approximately 3½
hours. As you come back from your
excursion trip, lunch will be serving at
campsite and then set for your second
day river expedition trip. The boats
will be reloaded already. After lunch
you will set off down in the river and
floating approximately 1½ hours. Another
beautiful scenic campsite will be set

Seti khola. Those who do not want to
hike up, they can stay and roaming
around tills the lunchtime.
Day 03:
As usual you will be wake up with cup of
tea, (packing should have to be done
before you come to breakfast). Soon you
leave the campsite you will encounter
the last and technical grade III+ rapid

hills recede and the Terai plain opens
in front of us. The topography gives
away to sandstone and gavel deposited by
antecedent rivers. You can reach Jugeri
for lunch if trip continues to Devghat
otherwise can be taking-out at Gaighat.
After lunch if trip continues you will
have an opportunity to visit the unique

Sapta Koshi “The seven Rivers”. The
confluence is called tribenighat; it has
an interesting temple to visit if we
have time. Now the sapta Koshi is surges
onwards, carving a way through its last
obstacle of the foothills. 5 kilometers
later on the left bank there is another
larger Hindu Temple called Baraha
Chhetra. On the day of full moon in
January every year, thousands of Hindu
pilgrims visited here to pay their
homage to lord Vishnu. According to
legend has it that, once a demon god
inhabeted this area and troubled the
holy men and pilgrims. Hearing of this,
Lord Vishnu, preserver of the Universe,
he decided to kill the demon, and taking
the form of a pig for the purpose, he
slated the demon in battle. The annual
Barara festival is commemorates this
victory and inside the Temple you will
see a statue of Baraha, a pig-headed
figure of Lord Vishnu. Back into the
river and continue floating along the
powerful current, and then rounding a
corner there is a suspension bridge
swoops high over the river and the are
hills dramatically give a way to totally
flat Terai and northern plains of India.
This is the end of our classic and
memorable river expedition trip here.
Perhaps we will taking-out around 2 pm,
and pack up the gears and ready for long
15 hours drive back to Kathmandu or any

TRISHULI RIVER RAFTING 3
DAYS
Nepal is one of the best
place in the world for rafting and
kayaking. Surrounded by its mountain
scenery and rivers shaped by them
challenges for white-water paddles. A
series of the world's most outstanding
river journeys is found here, ranging
from steep, adrift mountain streams to
classic and big-volume wilderness
expeditions.
OUTLINE ITINERARY
Day 01:
Charaudi - Filing 16 km 3 - 4 hrs.
Put-in- point Charaudi it is a highway
village. Rafting start and passing
through Majhimtar Village a km a way.
Immediately after this village the
valley narrows, becomes a gorge, and the
rapid known as "S Bends' or "Ladies
Delight' is on the left - Grade 3 +.
Another 3 km through this gorge brings
you to two rapids. The first (sometimes
known as Gloria) is after a sharp left
hand bend - this is a straightforward
Grade 3, with big waves then next rapid
is upset and this is the infamous, and
the most photographed rapid on your
rafting trip. There is always a
monstrous hole and a wave here that seem
to dwarf a raft but it is an excellent
spot for action photos. One km after
"Upset' and immediately after a left
hand bend is "Surprise', a grade 4-.
Rapid and arrive to Fishling village
where you are going to camp.
Day 02:
Fishling - Panchkilo 26 km 6 hrs.
After breakfast starting your rafting
for following day: and then shortly
afterwards the river enters a deep
awesome gorge, particularly spectacular
early or late in the day, when much of
the chasm is in shadow but sunlight
shines on vistas of distant hillsides.
The gorge ends after about 2 km and
river then curves of distant from the
highway and then another 2 km further
brings you to Kurintar Village, and
Kurintar is built on a bluff on the left
bank. After kurintar the river again
turns away from the highway and there is
a dramatic landslip as river curves
around to the left.
For several hundred
meters high, the hillside has had its
surface flesh stripped away to reveal
the raw white bones of the underlying
rocks. Drift by and marvel at the mighty
forces that are uplifting these
mountains and carving the valleys. After
another kilometer the river enters a
gorge again - warning of another rapid
around the corner named as "S' or
"M…F…'rapid. Two km on and a cable car
cross the river and herald the approach
to Mugling. The town is on the left,
some 70 meters above the river, which
curves around it at some distance. An
elegant suspension bridge crosses just
above the confluence of the Marsyangdi.
"Pin Ball' rapid follows closely after
the confluence, Grade 4-. Rafters' path
zigzags steeply up the bank to the
bridge and from here it is 5 minutes'
walk into town. "Pinball' is the last
serious rapid on this river - from here
on down its mainly grade 1 - 2 rapids
only with one or two of the grade 3 in
right conditions. The river is also more
peaceful because the highway is high
above the river for most of the time and
another 8km to campsite.
Day 03:
trip is concluded and after breakfast
Departure to Kathmandu or Chitwan as
regarding to per programme
