Trekking
is a journey on foot, seeing natural
scene in areas where transport is not
available. It likes up and down hills,
nearer a forced march, but with time
to admire trees, birds and flowers;
to glory in the majestic peaks and to
revel in all the natural beauty that
is Nepal.
TREKKING
SEASONS
Although
trekking in Nepal can be organized throughout
the year, OCTOBER through MAY is considered
to be the best months for trekking.
Summer months of the year, which coincide
with monsoon, begin in mid-June and
drains in mid-September making journeys
wet and warm. The mountain views may
not be at their best rain clouds and
haze overhang the mountains occasionally
obscuring the enchanting views.
These times are blessed for the keen
botanists as the higher valleys and
meadows blossom with flowers and lush
vegetation.
CAMPING
TREK
The
Camping Trek is the traditional trekking
type in Nepal. this method allows individual
and group travelers alike to visit any
region of the country. However, it is
generally more expensive than the Teahouse
Trek. The camping Trek team is guided
by Sherpa leader (Sirder) and supported
by a local chef kitchen staff, porters
and Sherpas.
TEA
HOUSE TREK
The
method of trekking described above makes
it possible to visit even the most remote
of regions where little or no tourism
infrastructure exists. On the other
hand, well known trekking areas like
Annapurna, Khumbu and Langtang in Nepal
offers individual travelers the opportunity
to move from hut. This method is known
as the Tear House Trek. The Tea House
Trek method requires little if any support
staff and can consequently be arrange
more economically. On the other hand
it limits one's range to the three major
trekking regions mentioned earlier
where the necessary infrastructure is
already established.
